Boomerang Way Tourist Park ( also referred to as "BWTP" or "We") Dog/Pet Policy For the comfort, enjoyment and safety of all our guests, we have established this set of clear and enforceable policies. As the Pet owner (which also includes "Carer" or "responsible supervisor"), responsibility to control and manage the animal, is directly your responsibility.
Bringing pets on holiday is a Privilege, not a right!
Please be aware that failure to adhere to this Dog/Pet policy may revoke your stay immediately without refund or recourse.
By bringing pets into Boomerang Way Tourist Park, you as the dog/pet owner accept, that the park owner/manager, reserves the right to evict any guests whose dog is deemed noisy, disruptive, or aggressive; OR, where you as the owner/carer is not taking responsibility for cleaning up after your pet. NB...As the Pet Owner, you are directly responsible to managing the control of the animal/s.
Boomerang Way Tourist Park provides in good faith a number of dog-friendly sites. While these sites will generally be available we may need to alter the sites due to ground maintenance or other operational reasons and may need to move guests accordingly. Currently, there is no charge to have your dog stay in your own accommodation on an Ensuite or Powered site. BWTP however, reserves the right to ask for a holding deposit, which would be refundable when you have abide by this pet policy.
There are no restrictions on access for Registered Service/Assistance dogs however you may be asked to provide proof, in advance, that the dog is a certified Service/Assistance dog, otherwise it will be deemed as a Pet. All other rules above still apply.
We allow no more than 2 dogs/pets per site or 2 dogs per cabin
Most sites are Pet friendly, and BWTP has three Dog friendly cabins; we do not allow cats or birds in our cabins. Please note.. additional fees apply to cabins to allow for the additional cleaning after pets have been in the cabin.
Pets on sites and in Cabins must be inside at night. Dogs in cabins must have own bedding, as we do not allow pets on any furnishings.
BWTP has a designated fenced, off leash dog run, inside this fenced area, your dog may be allowed off leash. Pets are not to be left alone inside the Fenced Dog Run.
When walking your dog in the park, the dog is to remain tethered by you, (or a responsible adult) on a leash no longer than 1.8m so as to control your dog. When walking past other dogs or people in the park, please ensure your dog is tethered at your side. Not all people feel relaxed around animals, or may even have allergies. Campsites may, if they choose to, erect portable dog fencing to keep dog under control.
At No time, are dogs to be left unattended at campsites or in cabins.

- You are required to inform management prior to confirming your booking that you intend to bring a pet into the park.
- At the campsite, the leash must be no more than 2.5m OR the length from your RV/Tent to within 1m of your site boundary, where the site boundary is 2.5m or less. The tethered leash must prevent the dog from leaving your site.
- All pets must be supervised at all times. Supervised means, by a responsible adult, Pets are not to be left alone in a car/van/tent/pen etc or in Cabin.
- Pets must be in good health, wormed, vaccinated, debugged, not carrying transferrable diseases etc. If the dog has a major illness please inform staff so we can manage it responsibly.
- Park Management reserve the right to ask for proof of vaccinations.
- For health and safety reasons dogs are not allowed within 5.0m radius of the following areas of the park: Pool, Playground, TV room, Camp kitchen, BBQ areas, Amenities, Reception and Laundry.
- Dogs are not allowed inside the Ensuite on sites.
- For health and safety reasons, do not use communal park facilities: including sinks, to wash your pet or bedding.
- Dog owners are 100% responsible for picking up and disposing of their pets’ waste immediately. Please use a sealed plastic bag and then place it in one of the bins provided.
- Dog owners are personally responsible, and will be held to be so, for all personal injuries and/or property damage and/or losses in relation to any actions of their dog and agree to pay for any claims of compensation in relation to the dog’s activities. Management reserves the right to accept or deny entry to any other pets/animals.
- Considerations/Exceptions for Peak Periods.
- During peak periods, the sheer number of dogs being brought to Boomerang Way Tourist Park has created too many problems that need to be addressed. The problems come from dogs of all sizes and breeds. The owners are sometimes regular visitors and sometimes new. Our policy aims to provide fairness for all and does not discriminate on these factors.
- Please don’t be the Minority, who Spoil the privilege for the Majority, who are doing the right thing!
